Part of me still feels disappointed that it was fake. Not that I wish for anyone to die a horrible death like that, but more that it takes some of the mystery out of the world. I have to give them credit though. They broke a lot of barriers in filmmaking that had not been explored to that point. It created an entire sub-genre of film that still persists today. I also think it taught people that you don’t have to have a massive budget and big-name actors to make interesting films.
