Coffee ain’t for everyone but brand and flavor definitely matters. Also, a tip, just a bit of sugar does wonder for removing the bitterness without actually changing the flavor significantly oil, a little cream, and/or sugar and it’s not bitter at all. That’s how chocolate works, too. “Ugh, I don’t like chocolate, it’s too bitter!” No, you just haven’t found the proper ratio for your taste buds. Not that you “must” like those things. But bitterness by itself is not a reason for disliking them.
Most store-bought coffee can range from “okay, drinkable” to “this is liquified death.” When I buy coffee from the supermarket, I’m picking it based on its level of inoffensiveness. I’m not expecting high quality from Dunkin’ or Gevalia, it’s enough that it doesn’t make me regret buying it.
