It’s really just that Republicans are built on the belief that they have to be better than someone else or they are worthless they always need someone to look down on even at their own detriment. I know a guy who was going off on a 15 dollar minimum wage and saying no burger flipper deserves it and I ask why not anyone working full time deserves wages enough to pay their basic expenses.
