I always tip more than what I’m supposed to hope it will change their perception of people of color. I’ve read some comments asking how this has to do with Trump and maybe this waitress is always like this (racist, rude, whatever). I think how it has to with Trump is this: he is blatantly and unabashedly rude and intolerant to lots of people (women, the disabled, any race other than Caucasian, anyone who isn’t wealthy). So, the fact that their “leader” does it, makes it okay to bring all their bigotry and whatnot out of the shadows and put it out there for all to see – be proud of it even, like he is. And this is scary.
