I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts and I’ve heard on one of them (I think the Fivethirtyeight one on the first presidential debate) that Trump’s constant interruptions are to throw Biden off as he has a bit of a stutter which honestly kind of work. I felt Biden was kinda off his game on the debate stage.

Thing is, he will still be able to constantly interrupt, he will do it and this change will not affect his end goal of making Biden stumble over his words, because Biden will still be able to hear him. The only difference is, we won’t be able to hear it, and it’s going to have the effect of making Biden look like he can’t keep a coherent thought going.
