I’m actually a coffee nerd with a low caffeine tolerance, so I’m often on the hunt for quality decaf (there is such a thing, it’s just harder to find), and I’m firmly into the American camp of liking coffee and milk drinks because the milk alters what parts of the coffee are accentuated. But my sugar needs are relatively low beyond keeping the caffeine from crashing my blood sugar when the coffee is to my tastes.
I always drink coffee black, and I can genuinely say I like the taste. I prefer light roasts to dark roasts, and as long as it isn’t literally vacuum-sealed grounds, the quality is not super important…..but higher quality coffee usually does taste noticeably better. I use instant coffee and milk/creamer, little to no sugar. The fattier the diary, the less bitterness I taste.
