Yes, some people exist who work the system or who simply don’t have an interest in changing their situation for the better. This is perhaps because they’re genuinely lazy, but more likely because the system has failed them over and over and over and they don’t feel like a welcome part of this society anymore. Humans are rarely simple and generalizations and almost always harmful, and our approach to homelessness should reflect that. Not every homeless person is you or your dad though. Putting everyone in that same basket isn’t reasonable. There are homeless people who are in great distress and extremely vulnerable. Expecting everybody to match your experience, and only your experience isn’t very realistic.

I did mate so my experience is very realistic and I know better than what you see from outside, Yes I feel sorry for families or young kids facing homelessness But most of them are just lazy and take advantage of free things and they forgot how to push themselves how to earn your living.
