I’m sorry for rambling, sleep deprivation. I now have kids of my own and I know the feeling. Even being cooped up in my home, I still work quite a bit where it takes over the time I’d spend with my kids. I think about this a lot and really have to refocus my energies to make sure I’m carving out quality time with them. They’re growing up so fast that my fear is I’ll regret not setting aside that crucial time and bonding appropriately.

I have to keep in mind that I do get in quality time through channels of our own and to cherish those moments, but more importantly, create more of them! When I hear people say “making memories” it really motivates me to take any action that will force me to make memories (book a trip, try a new activity, do something silly, share some music, literally anything that could make a memory with them. Those are things our children will end up remembering, and they’ll love you for it.
