It would be my passing opinion that other developers and publishers catch shit for this practice but not Nintendo. I would also judge the hassle of hooking up my Wii/N64 to be roughly the same as shelling out.

The only TV that has AV jacks that would work with the 64 or Wii is 22 inches and is stored in a closet. Modern technology means I would have to go buy an adapter to hook those up. Cheaper than the game, true, but more time consuming, particularly considering mention.
