Bredesen wrote on Facebook, “I support social distancing (for a certain amount of time) and we are all going to get through this. But (and don’t even think about responding if you’re not a surfer because remember, we have to rely on the experts) to put a ban on surfing or long-distance swimming or paddling is wrong. If you’re looking for an expert, you found him. When I am surfing, stay away from me. No one is ever near me, I am so greedy. Stay off my waves, get out of the way, and don’t even think of talking to me because I know you’re trying to get me off my game and miss the next set.
God damn. Saw some guy in the UK put it best. We are being asked to make a sacrifice for our country. We aren’t being asked to go to war or risk our lives. Just stay at home. This isn’t hard for the most part, and there are even a lot of excuses. Surfing isn’t one of them. The surfer is an entitled loser. Who’s supposed to risk their lives to save him should he have an accident? Piece of shit would sue the lifeguard and city for “not explaining how dangerous this was” if he got hurt. The idiot is not capable of knowing what it means when “beach is closed” and thinks he’s a disease expert.
