I think there is a SURPRISINGLY large amount of Americans who have no idea what Racism is. They think if they don’t use racial slurs or avoid minorities or actively campaign against minorities that they aren’t racist…. this shocks me. The blind ignorance of their own thoughts/ attitudes/ behaviors is shocking. Trying to point out their inherent racism does nothing. They think they are above it… all while propagating it. I’ve tried reasoning… they don’t use reason. I like to flip a trump quote to show how I feel about this issue…”When America sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
In 2016 there were several reasons to vote for trump. First things first, Hillary was a dumpster fire who’s campaign was just her saying how socially progressive she was by being a woman. All the while offering no policy that would have helped the American people. Trump despite his racism promised to stop outsourcing jobs, rebuild the rustbelt, abolish NAFTA, and destroy the corruption in Washington DC, and bring troops back home. Here’s the thing though, Hillary caused or at least contributed to all the issues trump claimed to want to fix. Hillary was so bad on those issues trump flipped blue states red and claimed pretty much the entire rustbelt allowing him to win. His racism wasn’t liked by many of his voters but things were so shitty they rolled the dice on trump in the hope he might just make life a little better.
