Yeah, the voice acting is entirely its own skill, and the greats study it and practice like mad – and now they have regularly pushed aside for people who cannot do the job. Using celebrities has ruined animated movies, some regular actors are fantastic at the skill, but it’s extremely rare. All the performing arts are totally different and you can’t expect a singer to know how to act unless trained in it.

And with at least a modicum of talent for that, or a regular actor to just jump in a sound booth and bring an animated character to life, with their own distinctive voice. People are not actually born with these skills, no matter how naturally talented.
