I have to disagree, unfortunately. I had this similar thought at my first lock down and after some thinking, this is what I came up with: First, it all or nothing. Either every restaurant closes, or every restaurant is essential. Who am I to decide why fast food isn’t worth it, but a $10 cheese burger at my local bar/grill is? And to that extent, what is are the rules to determine what food is or isn’t essential?

Second- Hypothetical: You’re a nurse, you just finished your 12-18 hour shift. You are stupid levels of exhausted and hungry, your options are to go to your local 24-hour grocery store (because it’s probably very late), get out of your car, walk inside, collect stuff to bring home and make dinner, or go through a drive-through and quickly pick up your dinner. It’s fast, it’s cheap, it feels fills you up.
