I’m aware the senate isn’t chosen by districts. My point was, if you don’t solve the problem of gerrymandering, people will fail to show up to the polls to elect democratic representatives and senators. If tens of thousands of people feel that their vote doesn’t matter in their districts, democratic senators don’t get elected. While the Senate may be the only house of congress that actually matters, the House itself does, indirectly, affect the senate when it comes to elections.
