Clinton ran on tickets that received just a few % fewer votes. Her winning doesn’t seem like some massive leap in open-mindedness or opportunity for women, especially given it seems people voted more against Trump than for her or Biden. It’s the same exact thing as “being proud of things that one’s country did/does”.

Just passing by in this thread, but I support your stance. Whether you like her or hate her, this is HER OWN (and her team’s) achievement, and something she should be congratulated on. Other people claiming someone else’s achievement as theirs just because they share some trait with that person (gender, race, citizenship, same hometown, etc) is absurd, it’s tribalism.
