Professor William Hsiao, A health care economist now retired from Harvard University, Hsiao designed a national health care system for Taiwan in the 1990s and helped manage that country’s transition from American-style employer-based insurance to a national single-payer system. He has also designed single-payer reform programs for Cyprus, Colombia, and China.
I stopped believing USA voters have any clue what they are voting for. They hear Bernie, they associate it with Socialism. They hear Biden, they associate it with Obama. I don’t think the vast majority of voters spend 10 minutes researching or looking into the candidates. That said, I don’t believe it is possible to vote anyone out at a scale that matters at all.
