I’m crawling right now. Got some hard news that the company I was planning on working for can’t actually hire me because the people that were planning on leaving for graduate programs didn’t actually make it in and are sticking around so they no longer have a place for me. Also found out there might not be much funding for my research project which I was hoping to finish and publish by the time I graduate.

I started the race by running until I was out of breath (1/2 mile in). Then it was intermittent walking and running until the end. I was the second to last person to finish, but I didn’t care. It was one of the best highs I’ve ever had. It felt good to accomplish something I always told myself I would do someday, but never worked up the courage to try. I was proud of myself.
