Don’t try to fix people. If nobody who ever tried succeeded, if no therapist seemed to help, you probably won’t be able to help either. It’s energy-draining, they’ll ask and expect more of you after a while and you just don’t need that kind of negativity. You live for you and only your life is your problem. Being kind is good- being too kind might kill you. Consider this: if a person doesn’t have many friends, or they appear really vulnerable and lonely in the beginning, consider that there might be a reason why people left them. It’s a very selfish intake, but I do wish I could live up to this. Having helpers-syndrome might sound cute, but it’s a pain in the arse sometimes and it gets the helper into lots of trouble as well.
