France has banned the burka and hijab in public schools for nearly 40 years now because it is a secularist country, which enforces the separation of state and religion. Any and all religious symbols are not allowed in public schools, and that includes crosses, rasta hats, etc, etc… Enforce this law and be accused of religious persecution by the federal nation of Germany, by the European Court of Laws, or by the International Criminal Court or by the United Nations.
Banning someone from wearing something is the opposite of freedom. Or do we believe in religious freedom, but only the “good” religions? Should women or girls wear it? Not if they are forced to. Should they be allowed to wear it if they want to? Yes, because that’s literally what freedom of expression is The problem is that by having the full-on covering and with no one being able to force them to take it off, you don’t even know if it is that person who enters the school, goes into class and whatnot.
