Hovering outside a doorway, he sees Pierce Brosnan sitting with his back to the doorway, telling Timothy Dalton about the years they collectively misspent as double-ohs (since James Bond 007 is a title, not a name), and that the world is undeserving of saving. The best way of change isn’t through the removal of threats, it’s the establishment of a new hierarchy.
He is my favorite Bond. I said it, there. I wish his movies had been less…I don’t know, ridiculous? I loved Goldeneye and liked Tomorrow Never Dies, but The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day was just cringe-worthy. I really enjoy his acting in almost all of his other work. I wish he’d gotten to show what he could do in a Bond movie that was entertaining, but less cheesy.
