I think the better comparison would be to actually show the Nazi eagle as it was drawn in Nazi communication, not the monument of it. The resemblance is a lot more uncanny then – down to how many feathers are on the eagle. I mean, it still won’t convince the “Trump could shoot a man on the fifth avenue and I’d deny he even knows what a gun is” crowd, but at least the rest of us could talk about it.

There’s plenty of logos like that. With the Eagle on top carrying something underneath its talons. Usually something circular. We have medals that have designs like that in the military. It’s not some unique “I’m secretly a nazi” emblem.
