Blaming everything on trump or toxic groups lets us substitute anger for action. Is Trump responsible for the racism and division and all the dumpster fires this year? Maybe, but so is every person fueling the flames and adding their little stamp of misery on the world. the problem is the Americans who don’t have lives outside of politics on social media. And yes, they really think we’re on the brink of a civil war seriously, just at my work yesterday I overheard a group of people at my work having a very civil discussion about Trump/Biden. This group consisted of a wide variety of races/genders and surprise nobody was threatening to kill anyone or calling them racists for not agreeing with them.
