It reminds me of the juice joke. I don’t remember the comedian but basically, he’s talking about buying a bunch of clearance apple juice and this lady staring and he and his wife and the punchline is something like “I was so happy about all this cheap juice I forgot about racism for a second” What really keeps me up at night is that many people (white cis males from my hometown) are saying that systematic racism and racism, in general, does not exist anymore. There’s this ignorance throughout the entire country and it pisses me off.
