Yeah, I agree with you, and as someone who’s a favorite episode of TNG was Measure of a Man, this show really hasn’t grabbed me. I watch Star Trek primarily for the ethics and morality centric stories. Discovery is the weakest of all the Treks in that department, so it really is my least favorite.

I’m a hardcore Trekkie and I really enjoy it. It has its oddities (the spinning section of the hull, the mushroom highway, the dolphin Klingons, the obnoxious lens flare), but every series of Trek has its peculiarities. Threshold, anyone.
