This last year I have been seriously considering moving to Canada or Europe. The social programs, education, and Healthcare all seem so much better than America. I would hate to move so far away from my family but the resources it would provide my descendants would be immense compared to what’s available in the US. Just remember that every country has its own problems. Try posting in each country’s subreddit and ask about moving there. 99.9% of responses will be negative: “we’re full”, “you will never find a job here”, “my country is shit lmao why do you wanna move here”.

September 30th will be the 5th anniversary of me owning my house, and I’m working out the math on when I’ll break even (i.e., when I’ll actually benefit from the equity and home improvements I’ve made) so that I can reasonably consider looking into moving to a different country.
