Kids don’t know how alcoholic drinks are made, and even if they did because they’ve seen mommy or daddy make it doesn’t mean that everything you shake is alcohol. Man, you get so many weirdos working in coffee shops. I have some wild stories from my barista days. This is what living in a bubble does to a person. I’ve never heard that shaking stuff is associated with alcohol. Obviously the more gets thrown at her that her assumptions are ridiculous as she gets corrected.

I’ve been a barista so I totally believe this. People have no idea about coffee making, which is fine, I don’t expect them to, but they act as they do. When we started serving coconut and almond milk I had to explain that we couldn’t make them skinny because there is no fat in them to remove. Then they’d just shake their head and ask for normal skinny milk instead. It would have been easier to ask questions instead of saying stupid things.
