I thought he spoke multiple occasions about why he signed up with Spotify and how they had no plans for making him do anything other than what he’s doing. Did they renew the contract and make changes to it or something? or is Joe just getting shafted? I doubt Spotify could edit the podcast even if they wanted to. They didn’t buy the podcast. They just leased the rights to be the exclusive platform for it for a period of time.

He isn’t outrunning anything, he’s walking right into it. He made a choice to sell out, and this is the result. He got his bag, and if I were in his shoes I’d probably take the money too. But with the money comes conditions, and he no longer has the free-wheeling ability to do whatever he wants when he was independent on youtube. And maybe that’s for the better, although some on here would disagree.
