If she lost the case it’s because the court ruled that they didn’t copy her. They probably said you can’t claim someone copied you if it wasn’t your idea originally. And it doesn’t matter if it’s obvious that they did copy her if the court said they didn’t then legally they didn’t. Think about the time tho. This was about when black performers were not legally allowed in the clubs that would hire them. Kane literally took an act that wants hers, but because she was white it got popular. Yeah, I understand why people are defending Kane, but it just screams dramatic irony for how she stole a black woman’s style and received acknowledgment for a style that wasn’t hers.
