There are machines and lots of pricy stuff to get if you want, but nothing is noticeably better than a nice $10 French press. Then pick up a cheap grinder and whole bean, single-origin coffee (only a little more expensive), and start trying some that have appealing descriptions. Many coffee snobs will shit on Starbucks coffee, but any location with Starbucks reserve coffee is worth a visit. Very accessible and good descriptions so you don’t even need to ask questions.

It keeps trying coffee occasionally thinking someday I will like it. I do have my doubts that I ever will but I never back down from trying new things and I also feel like there has to be something too coffee since it’s practically a religion for some people. It’s the same way for tomatoes. You didn’t just say you didn’t like it, though. You insulted people who like the way coffee tastes.
