Thorium reactors aren’t even the best way of generating power though. While they are the best thing we currently have the tech to make, and we know they will work, Fusion reactors will be much better. There isn’t even a chance for meltdown IIRC, and they should in theory be much more efficient. However, most of the science hasn’t been tested.

Gallium Nitride semiconductors. They are currently being used in a very limited capacity as LEDs and components in power supplies but the real adoption of GaN into applications currently taken up by silicone would be huge. They can run at higher temps and voltages with higher power efficiencies.
