My dad will always be the most unreasonable person I know. I will always hate him because he refuses to be wrong. Even when he knows he’s wrong, he keeps fighting. He sees admitting to being wrong as a sign of weakness, not of strength or open-mindedness. I’ve met hundreds of assholes throughout my life, but my dad is BY FAR the worst one. And I have to live with him.

Being able to admit when you’ve made a mistake- I remember when I was 6, him apologizing to me when he had punished me for taking something that belonged to him- turns out he’d misplaced it after all! That changed my perception that adults were always right.
