“The total screen time for Dern, Clooney, and Sheen is about five minutes. And yet, incredibly, Sheen turned down the lead in ‘The Karate Kid’ to take this role on the advice of his father.” Something that would have been really cool would be if somebody would have taken this and gotten these actors as they are now and had them recount their story with flashbacks featuring the actual young actors themselves. Could possibly be an interesting PTSD study and how it affects people. Or at the very least a meta look at how a “survivor” of a horror movie would fare after the movie is over. Not sure which ones they’re usually around.
