I asked him what the most amazing sight he had ever seen was and he told me one night when he was sailing through the Caribbean (I may be wrong with a location I can’t quite remember) he saw firefly squid cover the sea and then dolphins swam by and were covered in them, he said it was the most amazing sight he had ever seen and I will never forget that little encounter. It made me feel wholesome and happy and reminded me that there are nice people in this world.

A year or so ago I would take the train to go and visit my boyfriend in London after work and the journey would take me around 3-4 hours so was very long. Anyway, I am a very shy person and some guy in his mid-30s (very friendly, sat opposite to me on a four-seater) just randomly started talking to me even though I had my headphones on and I took them off and we just started having a really cool conversation.
