Not having social skills and being lonely ARE the things they’re trying to avoid. This is coming from someone without social media, with terrible social skills, and who used to be very lonely. I just don’t have social skills and I’m super lonely so even if I did have an Instagram it would literally be empty. In my mind, that seems worse than not having one.

that is someone who is just insecure and has trust issues. I really hate it when people cannot enjoy themselves without being self-conscious of how they look all the time. I miss being able to go to a concert and have a blast instead of the stand while people film the performance on their phones.
