Social media encourages some absolutely awful habits in terms of mental health, image, and self-esteem. It’s insane to me that people are so entrenched in it that somebody not wanting to be part of it elicits these types of reactions, and means that they must have an ulterior motive.

I just don’t have social skills and I’m super lonely so even if I did have an Instagram it would literally be empty. In my mind, that seems worse than not having one. When I tried Tinder, a couple of my matches said that not having any social media was a massive red flag and meant I was probably a huge creep.
