There was even one in town right by the hospital that was blind on the north side. Kids would literally get killed right by the hospital. At least once a year at that crossing, a whole car of kids would get crunched up. And while that is a tragedy for the family left behind, it is also very hard on the train driver.

I know grief is a hell of a thing, but what the fuck was their logic? Did the train conductor magically swerve off of, then back onto, the tracks just to hit their son without detailing the ons of steel behind him? I’ll give you most of those.
