wage here is federal, 7.25, and it’s not possible to live on (especially as housing is climbing. A nice one bedroom here is like 1200, you do the math) And yet if I quit I’d be punished, I’d lose money and lose my home. Somehow I’m doing exactly what the capitalism machine wants but still being punished for it. Wahoo.

I work in fast food as well, and as much as I would like this to be true, unfortunately, we are essential and we shouldn’t be. The food system in most of the world relies on a good percentage of people getting fed by restaurants. We do not have the capacity in grocery stores and markets to make up what would be lost by restaurants closing. I am not talking about food quantity, I am talking about distribution.
