Japan is still denying the Virus is an issue and refuses to promote isolation, China has lied to the international community about their numbers since the start and possibly worsened the situation by doing that, India is about to get hit. Only Korea acted swiftly, but mostly because it’s population was used to SARS and had some epidemics in the past decade. Western Europe is being hit just as bad as the US. Countries in Western Europe, just like the US only testing serious cases. There’s nothing cultural that’s made this an issue. It’s the entire Western leadership didn’t take any of this seriously until it was already in their country.
