POTUS has a lot of risk factors for a worse course of COVID: elderly, male, obese, and heart disease. It is NOT SAFE for him to be so far away (even if a Marine One helicopter ride) from Walter Reed Hospital. If this were my patient, I would counsel against returning home. Unless POTUS is declared cognitively impaired and unable to make decisions for himself, he has the right to leave the hospital AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE. That is his right. He also just got started on dexamethasone (high dose steroids). This could have made his fever go away.

If any combination of drugs were able to cure someone’s COVID in two or three days, even if they’re in multiple high-risk groups without any side effects, the world would know by now. Trump is not cured, he’s delusional and surrounded by yes-people. This is a guy who is walking towards the grave and nothing else.I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid.
