Not defending the cops, but genuinely asking here because I don’t know the answer. Watching that video the cops had deployed their tasers to little effect. Mr. Blake was reaching into his car where he very well could have had a weapon, he was acting extremely irrationally and violently leading up to the incident, he was at a house where he had a restraining order against him and was causing a disturbance. What should the cop have done in that 20-30 sec window of time? What did Mr. Blake have a responsibility to do in that same window of time? So it’s clear I think the cops are out of control in this country. I have personally been the victim of 2 civil asset forfeitures.
