While not quite as harsh, “God damn (person)” is another good example I’ve heard. You’re not actually hoping the heavens will open up and an old guy with a beard will start smiting left and right, you’re just voicing displeasure. Usually, at least, let’s be real there are extremists everywhere.

You 100% deserve to have hateful chants wanting your death after what you’ve done to them! if any country did to the USA 10% of what the USA did to Iran, the Americans would be in a permanent vengeful crusade. the most hilarious is when some Americans point out that the Iranians are the bad guys because some of them chant “death to America”.
