You did the right thing. Years ago, I had a girlfriend ask me what would happen if she wanted me to get rid of my cat. I laughed and told her she would go before the cat. It was never mentioned again. My last boyfriend, I adored. And he had 2 cats. Who I was pretty darn allergic to. I never asked him to get rid of the cats. I took more allergy meds instead. He loves those cats. I’d never dream of it. She honestly sounds like one of those people who would get a dog and force-feed it a Vegan diet. And… glad you got out of there.

I’ve never understood the vegans who claim to care so deeply about animals but then abuse or condone abusing pets by feeding them a vegan diet. I’m all for reducing the consumption of meat and animal products for humans who are able to survive off alternatives. But to claim animals are being cruel by eating what they need to in order to survive is… baffling.
